Make the classic, crunchy, savory Chex Party Mix using this easy oven-baked recipe. This traditional snack mix is perfect for holidays, game days, or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cups Chex cereal (a mix of Rice, Corn, and Wheat works best)
  • 1 cup small pretzel twists
  • 1 cup bagel chips
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (pecans, almonds, or peanuts)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a very large bowl, combine the Chex cereal, pretzels, bagel chips, and nuts. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika until fully combined. This is your seasoning blend.
  4. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the cereal and snack mixture. Gently stir with a rubber spatula until all the components are lightly coated. Do not overmix, or the cereal may break.
  5. Spread the coated mixture in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir the mix gently. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the mix from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheets before serving or storing. The mix will crisp up as it cools.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the butter with brown butter.
  • You can customize this mix by adding Cheez-It crackers or sesame sticks along with the cereal.
  • Store the cooled mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
