Make this creamy, cheesy garlic parmesan chicken bake for a simple, flavorful family dinner using boneless chicken breasts baked in the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (if using breadcrumbs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. If using breadcrumbs, mix them with the melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the sauce.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Let the cheesy garlic parmesan chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake, omit the breadcrumbs.
  • You can add 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese with the Parmesan for extra cheesiness.
  • This recipe works well with chicken thighs if you prefer dark meat.
